Simplifying the 19th hole!

Golf and gambling go hand in hand for most golfers! The Golf Action App greatly simplifies the scorekeeping process and eliminates miscalculations when settling up. This makes the 19th hole more enjoyable even if the betting didn’t necessarily go your way!

Golfers first download the app and set up a profile. Before the round, the group will set up their game(s) on the app and then, during the round, a scorekeeper will enter every player’s score on his or her device. The other players will be able to track the progress of each game during the round as well. After the round is completed and all the scores have been entered, the app displays what each golfer has won or lost during the round, even before setting foot in the 19th hole. The app makes things much easier, timely, efficient and interactive.

Therefore, creating a Golf Action game or group of games requires these three easy steps:

1) Select your golf course (almost all US courses are loaded in the app),

2) Select your players from a database of all players who have downloaded the app,

3) Select each of the games to be played and set the different parameters of those games.

The app also has a compelling social function. Beyond your own immediate golfing party, you can message friends and create groups. You can create private groups or groups that are open to everyone. Players can talk about the different courses they have played or want to play and connect with other players in similar areas (either local or visiting). Travelers can search groups and then post asking for course recommendations, or even find someone to join them for a game. It comes back to the concept of social competition - golfers love to talk about the great game of golf and most are open to playing with strangers. The app provides the ability to see each player’s skill level, so that everyone is comfortable playing with others at a similar level of ability. The app also keeps basic statistics, i.e. number of rounds, low round and average score.

So, before heading out with your golf buddies to play another round, be sure to get in on the action – Golf Action!
